Bekaa Valley, Lebanon. L'Arack De Musar 750ml The Chateau Musar Arack is made from grape alcohol with an average age of five years. Traditionally, arak is distilled twice, the anise seeds are added in the third distillation. L'arack de Musar is unique in that it is distilled four times with the addition of anis seeds during the 4th distillation. After distillation, it is aged for one year in terracotta amphora's which contribute to its licorice aroma. It is customary to add water to Arack when serving it as a digestif, but L'arack de Musar can be enjoyed without water. It is surprisingly smooth, sweet and very easy to drink. The additional distillation results in a very pure and sophisticated Arack.

Deep purple beetroot colour with a nose and palate of more red fruits than black; strawberries and cherries. Unoaked, with a savoury, earthy depth and a touch of spice and black pepper. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, Hochar Père et Fils Reds are suitable for vegans; they’re also richly-textured and likely to produce deposits in bottle. This is a feature of most fine wines. Ideally, the wine could be decanted (discarding any sediment) up to one hour before serving at between 16-18°C. It is a late harvest with indigenous Lebanese grapes, Obiedi and Merwah. By the time it is aged 12 years, recommended to decant to oxygenate the wine. Serve cool but not cold. Think honey, dates, molasses and chewy caramels, this wine is an experience. Open it up and sit by the fire. Give it a few minutes in the glass to oxygenate and the flavors will change. Organic, Sustainable. 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Carignan, 15% Cinsault A winery built around a UNESCO ‘Biosphere Reserve’, where it’s the stomping ground for anything between migratory birds to water buffaloes. One of the few remaining protected lands in Lebanon making incredible wines. Each bottle of Reserve Ammiq reflects the soul of this land: pure, expressive, and unrestrained. Guided by a philosophy of minimal intervention, we allow nature to lead the way, letting the terroir reveal its true essence without added yeast or artifice. Reserve Ammiq Cuvée has the main characteristics of a Cabernet Sauvignon, rich in tannins with dark fruit aroma and black pepper flavour.
