This Côtes de Provence from the Sainte-Victoire is vinified using direct pressing and fermentation at low temperatures in order to preserve the aromas in the fruit. Gassier is a delicately pale wine in shades of peach. The nose is very expressive with fruity notes such as white peach and fragrant white pomelo. A well-balanced, smooth wine, with lovely peachy aromas, superb length and notes of yuzu zest on the finish. 'Ward' is made from 100% Syrah grapes that were hand harvested, destemmed, and direct pressed into a vertical hydraulic press. Unfined, unfiltered, and minimal added sulphur. The name Massaya, twilight in Lebanese, was adopted because it communicates the hue seen at the moment the sun sets behind Mount Lebanon and the sky of the Bekaa turns dark blue. Established in 2004 by Chris Brockway, Broc Cellars is a Berkeley-based natural winery that uses only organically farmed grapes to create their refreshing and approachable wines. Working with organically farmed and family-owned vineyards such as the Wirth Ranch vineyard, they have found hidden gems that produce grapes from heritage farms such as the Valdiguié. This Mockvin du Broc Rose is an excellent example from this appellation. Inspired by the Macvin fortified wines of the Jura region of France, the grapes are foot-stomped and the juice is fortified with brandy distilled from the same grape. The blend is then left in neutral barrels to oxidize for 5 years honoring their minimal intervention philosophy. The result is something very special. Mantinia, Greece. Organic, Natural. The history of the Troupis Winery begins in 2010, when the family decided to invest in their own winery. Their vineyards are situated in the heart of Mantinea in the Fteri region of Greece. The special microclimate of the area differentiates the varietal's characteristics when compared to the remaining Peloponnese, making their wines unique. This Thunder Moschofilero Rose is one such example. The indigenous Moschofilero is considered one of the most important grape varieties in the Greek wine industry. Goes well with pasta, medium soft cheeses, baked chicken and sushi or to be enjoyed alone. The Cremisan monastery and winery was founded in 1885 by Fr. Antonio Belloni an Italian Salesian Monk. He opened the wine operation in an attempt to create a revenue source for the monastery’s orphanage. Cremisan is located on the northern slope of Mount El Ras just outside the city of Bethlehem and only 12k away from Jerusalem. The name Cremisan comes from the Arabic “Kerem Zan” meaning the Vineyard of Zan grapes, an indigenous Palestinian varietal. Cremisan was the first winery in the region to use indigenous Palestinian grapes, sparking both regional and international interest in Palestinian grapes. Hand picked in mid September.
