Limassol, Cyprus. Protected Designation of Origin. Saint John Commandaria Keo was made for communion wine as Cypriot's don't typically drink wine after dinner, however now it is used for both. It is a rich, flavorful dessert wine with a smooth texture. It is a protected designation of origin. It's known for its deep aroma and sweet taste with a powerful bouquet of oakwood, dried fruit and spices. It is traditionally produced and aged in oak barrels in KEO's cellars. The perfect complement to desserts or cheese.

Aegean Region, Turkey Sweet dessert wine from Pasaeli Winery. 100% Sultaniye. 2021. Sourced from the Aegean region of Denizil. Hand harvested and then partially sun-dried for 2 weeks. This famous dessert wine of Santorini is a combination of complex and intense aromas, where the caramelized fruits such as raisins, apricots and figs predominate along with a sweet and very complex taste with impressive length. Notes of coffee, bergamot, molasses and dried fig are most distinct. Although this is a very sweet wine, it is also important to emphasize that it has balance and good acidity which provides it with nerve and intensity. Enjoy this rare wine at 6-8 degrees Celsius in a chilled shot glass with a beautiful dark chocolate dessert or continue to age it, for future enjoyment, for many years. To be a Vinsanto you must legally age it for at least 4 years and use more than 1 grape besides Assyrtiko.

Structured and generous mouthfeel with firm tannins balanced by the richness and the volume of the wine. Persistent finish with salinity and spicy hints. Kartli, Georgia. Natural. Biodynamic. Unfiltered. Goruli Mtsvane (2022) is a natural, unfiltered, full-bodied amber wine featuring 100% Goruli Mtsvane grapes from the Kartli region. Primary aromas of yellow apples, yellow-fleshed apricot, and orange zest. ​Secondary aromas of fresh walnuts, almonds, chestnut honey and spring flowers. On the skins for three weeks. After completion, the wine sees a further three weeks on the skins. The wine is unfined, unfiltered, and sees no sulfur addition.

Macedonia, Greece. Natural, Vegan, Organic, Sustainable. 100% Assyrtiko Only a little bit of skin contact, this white is perfect for Fall. It has structure like a red but is not funky like a lot of orange wines. Very citrus forward with a prominent acidity backbone. Oenogenesis is owned and operated by one of the greatest oenologists of Greece, Bakis Tsalkos (trained and experienced in Montpellier and Bordeaux for most of his life). He belongs to the generation of oenologists who revived the Greek wine industry, and he single-handedly created the winemaking industry of Drama (Macedonia) in the 80’s, the youngest one of Greece. His principle is the absence of anything chemical, with as little intervention or spraying in the vineyard as possible.

They source their grapes from sustainable vineyards and rather than using bottles, they use cans for their packaging. The aromatics of this wine span the fruit spectrum from muskmelon and honeydew candy to mango, guava, bright tangerine and stone fruits. One hundred days is the time that we leave the skins in contact with the must so as to produce the first of its kind “red” wine of the gris variety Moschofilero. Intensively floral, rose petals and ginger come forward followed by a quince jam flavor. Slightly tannic taste with balanced acidity.

Lemesos, Cyprus. Skin Contact. Vegan. 2022. Orange wine from Tsiakkas Winery in Cyprus. 100% Xinisteri (indigenous to Cyprus). 13.5% ABV. For this wine the winemakers sun dry the grapes for about 2 weeks and only get about 30% yield. They do not press the grapes at all. The wine is fruit forward, clean, very fresh and dry, with notes of honey and orange marmalade.

Batroun, Lebanon. Sustainable. On the nose, the wine is indulgent like a creamy dessert with aromas of mulberries. On the palate, this wine presents itself as bold and imposing, brimming with personality and vibrant liveliness. It boasts a beautiful length without feeling heavy, making it an easy-drinking wine that pairs well with a variety of dishes. The presence of Syrah is evident immediately, adding to its complexity. While enjoyable now, it would certainly benefit from further aging, enhancing its depth and richness. Great with Beef, Lamb & Cured Meat or Strong Cheese. Kakheti, Georgia. Natural. Biodynamic, low intervention pet nat. Fermented in qvevri with no additions. Raw Wine. Anapea is family business, in 2013 the family bought an absolutely abandoned, uncultivated land in Kvareli. This land was used by the Soviet authorities in the 20th century and, therefore, we found it totally exhausted and eroded. We started revitalizing it. We built a bio-humus producing plant so as to restore soil fertility; we planted six most ancient Kakhetian grape varieties, including Mtsvivani, Khikhvi, Kisi, Kakhuri Mtsvane (Kakhetian Green), Saperavi and Vardisperi Rkatsiteli Pink Rkatsiteli). So, taking into account the best practices of qvevri wine-making, we built a marani (a wine cellar), with a qvevri being the only wine vessel.

Santorini, Greece. 50% Mandilaria, 50% Mavrotragano. 2022. 13% ABV. Very, very light red wine. Can be chilled, which is how it is typically served in Greece because it is so hot out. Kind of like a heavier rose, Beaujolais style. Dry with Ripe Blackberry & Cherry Notes.

Dobrovo, Slovenia. Sustainable, Vegan. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon Intense fruity aroma of sour cherries, raspberries and sweet spices. Full bodied, medium acidity, smooth tannins and an elegant finish. Food pairing: Grilled red meat, steaks and potatoes, grilled mushrooms and full fat cheeses.

Beaujolais, France. In the hamlet of Le Breuil, deep in the southern Beaujolais and perched above a narrow creek, the Domaine Dupeuble has been running almost continuously since 1512. The name of the domaine has changed just three times in its history, most recently when the last heir, Anna Asmaquer, married Jules Dupeuble in 1919. Today their grandson Damien manages the domaine along with his wife, brothers, sons, and daughter. Kermit first met Damien for lunch in Paris in the late 1980s, and thus began the annual tradition of blending the KLWM Beaujolais Nouveau. 100% Gamay, Fresh, Juicy and Light with low tannins and classic aromas of raspberry and violet with dark fruit, mild pepper, cinnamon and strawberries on the palate. Super concentrated body, round and rich. Enjoy with grilled sausages, pizza, late summer salads, duck, roasted chicken, beef and lamb.

Founded by Michel de Bustros, the first vines were planted in 1951, and in 1979 - despite the Lebanese Civil War - they started producing their own wine with their own grapes in their own cellar. Using sustainable farming, they produced this Chateau Kefraya Bretèches red blend using hand-harvested Cinsaut, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, grapes. On the nose, finely spiced with notes of black currants and cherry. On the palate, dry with soft tannins and red fruit flavors with some smoky leather and mild spice. This wine pairs well with cured meats and hard cheese, roasted lamb, beef and game meats. 750 ml

The wine is an harmonious blend of fresh red fruits, spicy and floral notes, as well as woody, roasted and toasted notes. The second nose reveals notes of cigar box, menthol, licorice, spices and garrigue through a palette of ripe and slightly candied red fruits. The attack is fresh, full-bodied and frank. On the palate, the wine is powerful, complex and delicate, expressing itself in length and balance. The palate offers a creamy and ample substance subtly revealing a complex aromatic profile. The fruit and the empyreumatic combine with elegance in equilibrium. The structure is characterized by velvety and ripe tannins. Perfectly integrated woody notes remain delicate in a pleasant harmony accompanying the complexity of the wine in the respect of its identity profile linked to the terroir. The aromatic persistence is very long.

Bekaa Valley, Lebanon. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon This sturdy red comes from Lebanon's oldest winery, Chateau Ksara, named because it was the site of a kasr, or fortress. Located in the famously fertile Bekaa Valley, wines have been made there since 1857. A modern example is this Ksara Cabernet Sauvignon, made exclusively with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from a single vineyard. With a dense robe of deep purple and red, the nose is spicy with black currants and ripe red fruits. Firm tannins wrap around a toasted cedar note which gives the palate its power and strength. Serve with game, roasted red meat dishes. 750 ml

Bekaa Valley, Lebanon. Cuvee de Printemps is a Beaujolais style blend of Gamay and Tempranillo made with semi carbonic maceration keeping the juice light and vibrant. Château Ksara was founded in 1857 by Jesuit Priests who produced the country's first dry red wine. In 1898, a milestone was reached in Ksara's history when a grotto - an artificial cave - dating back to the Roman era was fortuitously discovered at the site. The caves - which now run for two kilometers - form part of Ksara's cellar network today. A young red meant to be enjoyed within a few years of bottling. Serve chilled, pair with pizza, salad or traditional meze.

Bekaa Valley, Lebanon. The Carignan has a deep purple hue. On the nose, it offers intense red and black fruits and with spice and garrigue aromas. The palate is fresh and mineral, full of blackcurrant, strawberries and plums fruit underpinned with spice, juniper and oregano. The finish is long and sustained. 750ML.

Bekaa Valley, Lebanon. Vegan, Organic, Natural. Musar Jeune Red is an unoaked blend of Cinsault, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon from youthful Bekaa Valley vines. Meant for current consumption – within a few years of the harvest – this deeply-colored, vividly fruity style, first produced in 2007, may yet prove to be a ‘keeper’. Deep purple beetroot colour with a nose and palate of more red fruits than black; strawberries and cherries. Unoaked, with a savoury, earthy depth and a touch of spice and black pepper. It is an elegant wine with layers of taste and lots of potential to age and develop. Dry & Light to Medium Body and very fruity. No need to decant; enjoy straight from the bottle at between 60-62°F with grilled meat, charcuterie and mature cheeses. This wine is suited for vegans as it is not fined nor filtered.

Bekaa Valley, Lebanon. Vegan, Organic, Natural. 2020. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, Hochar Père et Fils Reds are suitable for vegans; they’re also richly-textured and likely to produce deposits in bottle. This is a feature of most fine wines. Ideally, the wine could be decanted (discarding any sediment) up to one hour before serving at between 16-18°C. This wine is an ideal choice for casseroles, roasted meats, tuna steaks and Mediterranean dishes. Deep burgundy in color with transparent layers showing evidence of Grenache in the blend. Ripe red cherry fruit with plums, dates, mulberries and tea leaves. It is Mediterranean on the palate with sweet tannins and spices. It becomes even better and more refined a day after the bottle is opened. The red wines of 2020 are wines of taste and concentration and the Hochar Red of this year is no exception.

An equal blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault, Carignan The 2018 vintage has a deep garnet color in the glass with dried cherries and mature red fruits on the nose. The palate is rich and concentrated with cranberries, raisins, and dates; there is good acidity with fine tannins. It has an enticing smoky, dusty fruit with soft licorice undertones and at 6 years of age upon release, it is already developed and mature. No fining or filtering. Cellared well, it will age beautifully for up to for decades.

Bethlehem, Palestine. Organic. 13% ABV, 750ml. Grown in the Judean hills of Palestine, this red wine is 100% indigenous Baladi grapes. “Some scholars say these are the types of wines that Jesus most likely drank.” (VinePair) Ruby red color, with aromas of berries, plum, hints of forest floor, milk chocolate, black pepper, light oak and spices. Medium body, smooth and complex, it finishes long, dry and elegant. A 2022 vintage, this rare wine can only be found at a handful of stores in the United States. Pair this delicious wine with grilled meats, lamb dishes and mature cheeses, all of which you can find at Sahadi's.

Very strawberry, cherry, red fruit forward. Fresh, complex, juicy, silky, smooth, aged in old French oak barrels. Cinsault had been grown in Lebanon ever since the Jesuits brought it there in 1857. Perfect for Thanksgiving, it is similar to a Pinot Noir.

Zaer, Morocco. Organic. This Moroccan red wine features hand-harvested Merlot and Marselan grapes. La Ferme Rouge’s history is intimately coupled with Morocco’s contemporary wine history. In 1908 the estate's configuration was mapped, and in 1933 their first vintage was produced. Fast forward to 2009 when the estate’s wine production renaissance began after the complete restoration of their original architecture. Located in the heart of the A.O.G. Organic, Natural, no fining or filtering. 100% Sabbagheih (also known as Marini, a rare indigenous Lebanese grape) Sabbagheih means "dye" or "stain" in Arabic, since it produces a very dark juice. Very small batch Lebanese wine made by a nomadic Lebanese winemaker, Rami Bassil El-Sabban, who borrows space from Château Cana and Mersel wineries. This red is round, rich and dry. Full bodied with notes of balsamic, plum, and jallab (a type of fruit syrup made from carob, dates, grape molasses, and rose water). A blend of two seperate tanks of Sabbaghieh. The first tank being a late harvest Sabbaghieh (40%) blended with a slightly less ripe Sabbaghieh (60%), which was macerated on its skins for just over a week and a half. Both were fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks before assemblage.

He opened the wine operation in an attempt to create a revenue source for the monastery’s orphanage. Cremisan is located on the northern slope of Mount El Ras just outside the city of Bethlehem and only 12k away from Jerusalem. The name Cremisan comes from the Arabic “Kerem Zan” meaning the Vineyard of Zan grapes, an indigenous Palestinian varietal. Cremisan was the first winery in the region to use indigenous Palestinian grapes, sparking both regional and international interest in Palestinian grapes. Hand picked in mid September.

Winemaker: Karlen Manaseryan From Northeast Armenia near the Georgian border, the vineyards of Tavush yield crisp and energetic Lalvari grapes which produce this methode ancestrale wine. Hand harvested and with a hands-off approach, this white pet nat is lively, light and refreshing, with forest green apple dominating the nose and citrus and herb on the palate. Kakheti, Georgia. Natural. Biodynamic, low intervention pet nat. Fermented in qvevri with no additions. Raw Wine. Anapea is family business, in 2013 the family bought an absolutely abandoned, uncultivated land in Kvareli. This land was used by the Soviet authorities in the 20th century and, therefore, we found it totally exhausted and eroded. We started revitalizing it. We built a bio-humus producing plant so as to restore soil fertility; we planted six most ancient Kakhetian grape varieties, including Mtsvivani, Khikhvi, Kisi, Kakhuri Mtsvane (Kakhetian Green), Saperavi and Vardisperi Rkatsiteli Pink Rkatsiteli). So, taking into account the best practices of qvevri wine-making, we built a marani (a wine cellar), with a qvevri being the only wine vessel.

It was born in the 2019 yield when THALASSITIS OAK FERMENTED was renamed NYCHTERI by GAIA. Fermentation and aging take place in different kinds and sizes of barrels. The wood is present, with notes of vanilla, all totally harmonized with the aromas of Assyrtiko. 100% French oak. 14% ABV. As always, the classic nerve and the sharp acidity of Assyrtiko are not hidden, but in this case, they have allied with a roundness, a greasiness and a volume that make this wine amazingly enjoyable. Lombardia, Italy. Organic. Natural. Unfined & Unfiltered. Sustainable. 2023. A beautiful 100% Pinot Grigio, finely balanced and elegant. From the vineyard called “Vigna Campo Piano,” the vines are approximately 30 years old and planted to 2.6 hectares of clay soils. The grapes are selected one month before harvest, which takes place on August 25th, and allowed to macerate for eight hours in stainless steel. Hand-harvesting is done in two passes, the first is used to build the ambient yeast for the remainder that is to be harvested. The entire fermentation lasts a total of 20 days in stainless steel with temperature control. Aged for six months on the lees with stirring once a week.

Bethlehem, Palestine. Organic. 50% Hamdani, 50% Jandali (both indigenous to Palestine) The Cremisan monastery and winery was founded in 1885 by Fr. Antonio Belloni an Italian Salesian Monk. He opened the wine operation in an attempt to create a revenue source for the monastery’s orphanage. Cremisan is located on the northern slope of Mount El Ras just outside the city of Bethlehem and only 12k away from Jerusalem. The name Cremisan comes from the Arabic “Kerem Zan” meaning the Vineyard of Zan grapes, an indigenous Palestinian varietal. Cremisan was the first winery in the region to use indigenous Palestinian grapes, sparking both regional and international interest in Palestinian grapes. Bethlehem, Palestine. Organic. 100% Dabouki (indigenous to Palestine) The Cremisan monastery and winery was founded in 1885 by Fr. Antonio Belloni an Italian Salesian Monk. He opened the wine operation in an attempt to create a revenue source for the monastery’s orphanage. Cremisan is located on the northern slope of Mount El Ras just outside the city of Bethlehem and only 12k away from Jerusalem. The name Cremisan comes from the Arabic “Kerem Zan” meaning the Vineyard of Zan grapes, an indigenous Palestinian varietal. Cremisan was the first winery in the region to use indigenous Palestinian grapes, sparking both regional and international interest in Palestinian grapes. Hand picked in mid September. Full bodied, fresh and fruity. Notes of Dead Sea salt, lime zest, melon, peach, grapefruit & apricot. Perfect for sipping on a warm night on it's own or with sushi, pasta, cheese or pastries.

Modern wine-making equipment was introduced in 1997. The production and sale of Cremisan wines support the work of the Salesian Monks in the Holy Land. All Cremisan wines are organically produced, with vines being tended without the use of pesticides and chemicals. Vines are pruned, sorted and picked by hand. AL-Jather is a NATURAL white made from Palestinian grapes. Fresh and fruity with aromas of tropical fruit. This wine has generous grapefruit, peach and lime juice flavors with a refreshing acidity that makes it perfect for sipping on warm days. No added sulfur. Great on its own or with savory pastry, pasta, medium soft cheeses, baked chicken and sushi.
