The roots of Caruso & Minini harken back to the late 1800’s when Antonio Caruso bought the company to grow grapes for the nearby Marsala factories. In 2004, Stefano Caruso met Mario Minini and together they built a family winery. Today, Stefano and his daughters Giovanna and Rosanna work side by side to create unique wines using indigenous Sicilian grapes like this Inzolia Zoli which is characterized by intense and elegant fragrances. Stylish and laidback, Gassier offers a glimpse into the bohemian lifestyle. This Côtes de Provence from the Sainte-Victoire is vinified using direct pressing and fermentation at low temperatures in order to preserve the aromas in the fruit. Gassier is a delicately pale wine in shades of peach. The nose is very expressive with fruity notes such as white peach and fragrant white pomelo. A well-balanced, smooth wine, with lovely peachy aromas, superb length and notes of yuzu zest on the finish. Gassier makes the perfect partner for a salmon and mango poke bowl, pan-seared shrimp skewers, Provençal vegetables à la plancha, or quite simply as an aperitif.

Bekaa Valley, Lebanon. L'Arack De Musar 750ml The Chateau Musar Arack is made from grape alcohol with an average age of five years. Traditionally, arak is distilled twice, the anise seeds are added in the third distillation. L'arack de Musar is unique in that it is distilled four times with the addition of anis seeds during the 4th distillation. After distillation, it is aged for one year in terracotta amphora's which contribute to its licorice aroma. It is customary to add water to Arack when serving it as a digestif, but L'arack de Musar can be enjoyed without water. It is surprisingly smooth, sweet and very easy to drink. The additional distillation results in a very pure and sophisticated Arack.

Bottled unfined and unfiltered, Hochar Père et Fils Reds are suitable for vegans; they’re also richly-textured and likely to produce deposits in bottle. This is a feature of most fine wines. Established in 2004 by Chris Brockway, Broc Cellars is a Berkeley-based natural winery that uses only organically farmed grapes to create their refreshing and approachable wines. Working with organically farmed and family-owned vineyards such as the Wirth Ranch vineyard, they have found hidden gems that produce grapes from heritage farms such as the Valdiguié. This Mockvin du Broc Rose is an excellent example from this appellation. Inspired by the Macvin fortified wines of the Jura region of France, the grapes are foot-stomped and the juice is fortified with brandy distilled from the same grape. The blend is then left in neutral barrels to oxidize for 5 years honoring their minimal intervention philosophy. The result is something very special. From the vineyard called “Vigna Campo Piano,” the vines are approximately 30 years old and planted to 2.6 hectares of clay soils. The grapes are selected one month before harvest, which takes place on August 25th, and allowed to macerate for eight hours in stainless steel. Hand-harvesting is done in two passes, the first is used to build the ambient yeast for the remainder that is to be harvested. The entire fermentation lasts a total of 20 days in stainless steel with temperature control. Aged for six months on the lees with stirring once a week.

As its first king, he centralized power and introduced key reforms that set the stage for the empire's growth and stability. He was also known as "the lawful king".

Armavir, Armenia. Organic. 100% Garan Dmak Highly aromatic white with notes of pear, melon, grapefruit pith, this fuller bodied dry white has an attractively smooth, round texture, with lots of savory, food-friendly character. Lots of orange rind, thyme and lingering notes of pear and melon. This fuller bodied, savory wine is perfect with fish dishes, dishes with savory herbs (sage, thyme, etc) and compliments grilled vegetables perfectly. Founded in the village of Bambakashat, Armavir, on the foothills of Mt Ararat, the three Jraghatspanyan brothers run this boutique winery working only with ancient, indigenous varieties. All grapes are hand harvested from 60- to 80-year-old vines. The winery is meticulous in its pursuit to make wines that are pure expressions of their volcanic soils and unique, rare vines. Less than two hundred cases are made each year.

Akhisar, Turkey. Vegan, Organic, Sustainable. 50% Narince & 50% Emir (both indigenous to Turkey) Dry, fresh, citrus forward, easy drinking & very approachable. Medium-bodied, low acidity, and a bit short on the palate. Sip at 8-10 degrees within 1-2 years and serve with chicken dishes and wild mushrooms.

Bousit, North Lebanon. Organic, Natural. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Malbec & 11% Sangiovese Dar Richi "Richi's House" Hanan was created by Abdullah Richi who moved to Lebanon to escape the atrocities of the Syrian war. Abdullah was interested in winemaking and through observational learning with Mersel's wine maker Eddie, he developed this red still wine and named it after his wife - Hanan. Abdullah's dream is to go back to Syria and establish his own winery there. The wine is a dream for a prosperous and borderless future. It's an investment in the winery that Richi will also establish in Syria, utilizing the country's profundity of native grapes, supporting and uplifting communities, all while also healing a country that is rebuilding. Dry, dark ripe red cherry and strawberry forward, full body. Good with dark chocolate.

Organic, Natural, no fining or filtering. 100% Viognier Very small batch Lebanese wine made by a nomadic Lebanese winemaker, Rami Bassil El-Sabban, who borrows space from Mersel winery. Dry, no oak. Notes of peach, apricot, citrus and spring honey. Light and refreshing. Notes of white flowers and fresh peaches.

Mount Lebanon, Lebanon. Organic, Natural, no fining or filtering. 100% Viognier Very small batch Lebanese wine made by a nomadic Lebanese winemaker, Rami Bassil El-Sabban, who borrows space from Château Cana and Mersel wineries. Pressed into PVC tank for spontaneous primary fermentation, and macerated on the skins for seven days before secondary malolactic fermentation. Aged in PVC tank. Notes of dried apricots and white river rocks. Fun and easy drinking. Notes of orange marmalade, juicy apricot, peach and pineapple. Medium body and dry.

Sicily, Italy. Organic, Sustainable. 100% Frappato This organic and rose wine is from a family-owned winery in Sicily, Italy. The roots of Caruso & Minini harken back to the late 1800’s when Antonio Caruso bought the company to grow grapes for the nearby Marsala factories. In 2004, Stefano Caruso met Mario Minini and together they built a family winery. Today, Stefano and his daughters Giovanna and Rosanna work side by side to create unique wines using indigenous Sicilian grapes. From our best selection of Frappato grapes grown on the hillside, comes Frappo, with its delicate pink color, fresh and fruity taste. Lively, harmonious, and with a pleasant acidity, it reveals a vibrant note of strawberry and cherry on the palate. Light, easy and summery rose. Lemesos, Cyprus. Organic. 100% Xynisteri (Indigenous to Cyprus) Crisp & refreshing white with aromas of nectarine, lime, grapefruit & honey. Dry but not too dry, pairs beauitfully with seafood and light salads.

Rioja, Spain. Organic, Biodynamic. 100% Garnacha Blanca Certified Organic orange wine. Beautiful golden orange color. The nose is filled with the ripest Apricot steeped in tangerine juice. Sea spray, sultanas, yellow gummy bear explode from the glass – nothing is quiet about these aromatics! The palate is very dry and yet it’s like eating roasted pineapple-apricot tart. So much complexity and yet so much fun! 12.5% ABV.

Rioja, Spain. Organic, Biodynamic. 100% Tempranillo Dark ruby color. Brooding raspberry almost framboise-like, just a Cherry Bomb with layers of dried sour cherries and black cherry cola. The palate shows subtle dried fig with hints of violet and tobacco. The tannins are classic Tempranillo, rustic but balanced. 12.5% ABV.
