These Karasi, (Amphora-fermented) wines present the rich history of the ancient country’s winemaking tradition. Dry red with dark, brooding notes of ripe plum and blackberry, combined with vanilla and cedar mark the nose. Jraghatspanyan Garan Dmak

Organic. 100% Garan Dmak Highly aromatic white with notes of pear, melon, grapefruit pith, this fuller bodied dry white has an attractively smooth, round texture, with lots of savory, food-friendly character. Lots of orange rind, thyme and lingering notes of pear and melon. This fuller bodied, savory wine is perfect with fish dishes, dishes with savory herbs (sage, thyme, etc) and compliments grilled vegetables perfectly. Founded in the village of Bambakashat, Armavir, on the foothills of Mt Ararat, the three Jraghatspanyan brothers run this boutique winery working only with ancient, indigenous varieties. All grapes are hand harvested from 60- to 80-year-old vines. The winery is meticulous in its pursuit to make wines that are pure expressions of their volcanic soils and unique, rare vines.
