Zaer, Morocco. Organic. This Moroccan red wine features hand-harvested Merlot and Marselan grapes. La Ferme Rouge’s history is intimately coupled with Morocco’s contemporary wine history. In 1908 the estate's configuration was mapped, and in 1933 their first vintage was produced. Fast forward to 2009 when the estate’s wine production renaissance began after the complete restoration of their original architecture. Located in the heart of the A.O.G. Zaërs region, their vines are grown on ancient sand, red clay along with limestone and shale soils creating wines of structure and intense minerality. For this red wine, the aroma has ripe red fruits like raspberry and currants. On the palate, dry, elegant, refined with a silky texture. Enjoy this with beef and game meats such as venison. 750 ml
