Bekaa Valley, Lebanon. Organic, Vegan. Frenchman François-Eugène Brun fell in love with Lebanon's Bekaa Valley, setting up the first winery in Lebanon in 1868. More than 150 years since it was established, Domaine des Tourelles is run by the next generation of the Issa & Issa el Khoury families. Today, their winemaking philosophy focuses on minimal intervention, naturally organic and vegan wines such as this Syrah Du Liban. Made with indigenous 100% Mediterranean Syrah grapes, the nose has exquisite aromas of black currants, ripe plums, vanilla, tobacco and spicy cacao. Light to medium tannins on the palate, silky texture, ripe blackberries and plums making it fruity and jamm-y.
