The name Heya means 'She' in Arabic and is a representation and appreciation of women who work hard in a male dominated industry to produce something they love, which in this case is natural wines including co-ferments. Friends Michelle and Claudine started Heya Wines as a labor of love. Heya Wines is a reflection of their love for the land, the grapes, and the art of winemaking. They put their hearts and souls in every bottle they make, from pruning, harvesting, making, fermenting, blending, bottling, labelling and packing. 'Ward' is made from 100% Syrah grapes that were hand harvested, destemmed, and direct pressed into a vertical hydraulic press. Unfined, unfiltered, and minimal added sulphur. Ward means "Rose" in Arabic. Dry with juicy ripe strawberry notes. Pair with meze and summer salad.
