Bekaa Valley, Lebanon. Frenchman François-Eugène Brun, fell in love with Lebanon's Bekaa Valley, setting up the first winery in Lebanon in 1868. Today, more than 150 years since it was established, Domaine des Tourelles is run by the next generation of the Issa & Issa el Khoury families. A relatively new endeavor, the winery now distills select spirits such as their GinBey gin. The fruit of long years of hard work and research by the family's own winemaker, Faouzi Issa, this blend is a mix of 14 botanicals, from the traditional base of juniper and coriander seeds to other ingredients like citrus, florals and spices all sourced from Lebanon. The more delicate botanicals such as Tilia, rose petals and pomegranate seeds are infused at the end of the distillation process before being aged in traditional amphora jars for 6 months. This finish gives it extra finesse and roundness on the palate. Enjoyed best in cocktails or chilled neat. 750 ml
